“World Trade Center Logo Captures Site’s Destruction and Rebirth“
The logo’s five bars claim to evoke the new buildings as well as the memorial pools and the 9/11 Tribute in Light that pierces the sky on every anniversary. But regardless of all the contrived symbolism, what is clearly depicted is the victim of a robbery in progress. And that is the perfect imagery for what has been done to the public at Ground Zero. The powers-that-be pulled a stick-up, and there we stand, hands up, helpless to do anything about it — while those who should have protected us, robbed us instead.
